Current availability

Reveal it is undergoing commercial-release checks. This site does not currently provide a paid checkout or public download. These control descriptions reflect the reviewed Build 209 source (1.0.0-rc.16), an Apple Silicon macOS test candidate. They do not certify that build for sale or establish Windows compatibility. In-host release checks are still required.

The interactive examples are browser simulations, not evidence of compatibility with every After Effects version or operating system.

Before installing a release

Use the installation instructions supplied with the specific verified release. Check its operating-system, architecture and After Effects requirements first, back up important work, and close After Effects before changing installed plugins. Do not disable macOS security protections to run an unverified download.

Licensing test candidate

The reviewed macOS candidate includes activation, validation, deactivation and watermarked unlicensed output. It is still a test candidate, not a confirmed commercial release. One named user is limited to one activated device; moving a license requires successful online deactivation on the old device first. The candidate normally checks in the background every 6 hours and provides at most 24 hours offline following successful validation, capped by license expiry. This is an offline grace period, not a 24-hour trial. You do not need to re-enter a saved key daily.

One effect. Both directions.

Apply Reveal it to your layer and choose Linear, Radial, Stroke, Spiral, Wave or Textured. The selected type’s controls appear directly under Type Settings. Stroke follows the layer’s masks; the other types shape the reveal across the layer.

Animate Transition In to reveal your artwork and Transition Out to remove it. Link Out to In is enabled by default for a matching exit. Turn it off to give Out its own look, then use Copy In Settings when you want to copy the In look over to Out.

Colour, with a little timing

Duplicator adds up to 15 coloured copies after the original, with Frame Offset from 1 to 10 frames. Set Copies to 0 for no extra copies. Change the colour swatches yourself or use Randomize Colors for another combination.

New instances start with the seven-colour Mograph Flow palette, repeated across the 15 swatches. Those are starting colours, not a limit on your palette. Existing projects keep their saved colours.

Shape the finish

Use Feather to soften the reveal edge. Pixelate changes the reveal geometry into blocks, while Scan Bands adds a striped pattern. Noise, Saturation and Contrast give you additional control over the coloured copies.

Keep the look. Keep your timing.

Use Copy Settings in the Copy / Paste Settings group, select another Reveal it instance, then use Paste Settings to reuse the look. Transition In / Out values and their animation are not copied. Destination settings with keyframes or expressions are skipped, so Paste does not overwrite those animated controls.

This is different from Copy In Settings, which copies the In look to Out within the same effect. For the built-in explanation, open About & Support → Help & Policies → Copy / Paste Settings.

Plugin controls and preview limits

The browser preview is deliberately simplified: it offers up to 7 colour copies, seven editable colour swatches, a white source logo and its own timing controls. The native effect supports up to 15 coloured copies. The preview is not a complete reproduction of the plugin or a promise of identical output.

Using this preview

Choose a reveal type, adjust its labelled settings and use the Timeline slider to scrub with the arrow keys. The Motion control at the top pauses site animation; the preview also has its own Play/Pause button. Settings stay in this page and reset on reload. Reduced-motion preferences are respected by default.
